Joseph Anointing – The Culture of the Kingdom
What type of culture would you say that you are a part of? Is your culture something you chose or was it something that you grew up with and never left? Is your culture full of positive or negative elements? A mix of both? Isn’t it time for a change in the culture that you live in now?
The culture of the Kingdom of God is unmatched in the world. Jesus came on the scene and addressed all different cultures and spheres of life and brought the culture of the Kingdom to change everything. He said that when you saw Him, you saw the Father. He came to show us how to live as a son or daughter of God. He came to show us how to live as royalty and citizens of Heaven. Jesus demonstrated the higher way of grace and truth and showed us how mercy triumphs over judgement. Jesus showed us how righteousness was superior to a life a sin. He also called out the Pharisees for their self righteousness. When they brought him a woman caught in adultery, Jesus did not condemn her, but helped set her free in more ways than one. When confronted with Zacchaeus, a wicked man in the marketplace who was notorious for cheating people out of their money to live on, Jesus simply walked into his life and changed him by His righteous presence. Zacchaeus changed because He encountered the presence of royalty in the form of King Jesus. Zacchaeus changed because of the person of Jesus demonstrating the culture of the Kingdom of Heaven. The culture of the Kingdom changes everything.
What could happen if we began to take the culture of the Kingdom into the Marketplace just as Jesus did? What would happen if we invaded the marketplace just as Paul the apostle did? Isn’t it time for a change in culture for your life? Set people free from sin by letting God’s love and grace come through you. Call people to a higher standard by acting like the royalty that you really are. Jesus came as the model. Paul walked it out. Now it’s our turn.

Last Thursday on Career Advancement, I spoke of the Seven Mountains of Cultural Influence as:
1. Family
2. Religion
3. Education
4. Arts and Entertainment
5. Media
6. Economics and Business
7. Government
I hope that you were able to decide which mountain or mountains that you primarily feel a calling. Now, I want to get you thinking about preparing for your mountain.
What are the prerequisites for influencing for mountain?
What does it take to gain credibility in your mountain?
What education and training do you need for your mountain?
What experience do you need to effectively serve your mountain?
How many years is it going to take before you will have a recognizable voice in your mountain?
Who are the major influencers in your mountain that you need to develop relationships with in the next five years?
Who are the Kingdom Believers that you need to develop connections and relationships with in the next year?
Who are the Kingdom and secular mentors in your mountain that you need to learn under?
Have you prayed, fasted, read the Word, and sought the face of the Lord about your calling to the specific mountain of cultural influence?
Do you have a small group of believers that you are a part of that can pray for you as you seek to enter your mountain?
I pray that you use these questions to begin preparing yourself to serve in your mountain.

Joseph Anointing – The Favor of the Lord
When you look at the track record and life of a Modern Day Joseph, you will notice that everytime they are down and everyone is counting them out, somehow the Lord delivers them out of every situation. The favor of the Lord makes the difference in the life of the Modern Day Joseph. It really does separate those who know the Lord from those who do not. The Lord’s special favor was shown to Abraham, then Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob was shown favor even when Laban was changing his wages ten times, taking advantage of him at every chance. The same Abrahamic blessing rested upon Joseph as well.
Realize today that as a Modern Day Joseph, you have the favor of the Lord upon your life. Remember this fact when you feel as though you have had too much and you cannot take any more stress in your life. Refocus on the Lord’s favor and turn your eyes fully upon what the Lord is doing instead of the devil or your awful boss. It is not about others. It is all about the Lord, and His work being perfected in you. One day, you will be given a signet ring, a gold chain, and a fine linen robe. Hold on to the hand of the Lord and receive His favor and blessing on your life.
